Officials say they received a call from a man who claimed two men, armed with handguns, tried to rob him in his apartment Saturday night on North Bridge Street.

They say the victim began fighting with the two men and was able to get the gun away from one of the suspects before shooting one of those men.

He was pronounced dead on the scene.        

Police are now searching for the second suspect who ran from the apartment.
