Here are some of the stories making headlines in the Hudson Valley.
A former Forever 21 employee is accused of recording women in the Yonkers store dressing rooms. Heriberto Polanco is now indicted on 48 counts of unlawful surveillance. Investigators say the women were recorded in 2019 at the Cross County Shopping Center store with a cellphone he would allegedly slip under the door.
A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car in the town of Wappinger. Police say 37-year-old Terrance Hector was on New Hamburg Road, where there are no street lights, when a driver hit him Tuesday night.
Police say the fog caused a privately owned helicopter to make an emergency landing in the water near Jones Beach on Wednesday. They say the pilot had to land in approximately three feet of water around 4:30 p.m. Officials say the unidentified 64-year-old pilot was the only person onboard. He suffered only minor injuries. The investigation continues today into what went wrong.
