After months of legal action against Harrison police officers, an independent probe has cleared them of any misconduct.
Harrison Police Chief David Hall says he feels vindicated, but Town Supervisor Joan Walsh says she is unsatisfied with the investigation and wants the officers to be retrained.
Walsh and the town council hired an investigator last September following a series of lawsuits that included allegations that some officers fondled a teenager during a drug bust.
The attorney who investigated the department interviewed 45 people and found the allegations to be false, prompting the dismissal of five out of eight lawsuits.
