Fire destroys historic former rail station

Fire destroys historic former rail station
An early morning fire destroyed an historic building in Mechanicstown today.
Fire officials say the flames broke out at the former Ontario and Western rail station on Dunning Road around 4:15 a.m. They say it took about an hour and around 35 firefighters to put the blaze out.
Officials says the building  been vacant since 2001 after a restaurant closed down there.
Orange County Fire's Task Force and the state police are now investigating the cause of the blaze.
