An expert is offering tips on how to talk to children about terrorism in the wake of the Manchester bombing.

The suicide bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England, left 22 people dead and dozens more injured.

Dr. Gony Weiss, a child psychiatrist at the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital in Valhalla, says Monday's attack is a chance to open up the lines of communication with children.

"Sit down and say, ‘This is what happened. Ariana is safe and you are safe,’" she says.

Weiss says not to let the bombing impair or inhibit your child's activities in any way.  She says they are still safe, they just need to exercise caution.
