The death of a Manhattanville College student whose body was found in a Connecticut lake was ruled a suicide Thursday.
Joseph Zahornacky, 22, of Shelton, Connecticut, disappeared Monday night while driving from LaGuardia International Airport to the college in Purchase. His Jeep was found half submerged in Lake Lillinonah in Bridgewater, Connecticut. Wednesday, divers discovered Zahornacky?s body in the lake.
An autopsy was performed and the medical examiner says Zahornacky drowned and his death was a suicide. Officials did not give any other information that led them to conclude Zahornacky committed suicide. Manhattanville College is holding a memorial service for Zahornacky as students contend with the fact that their friend took his own life.
