Jackie Ruby, of Waccabuc, is a multimillion-dollar home realtor by day and a food columnist by night.
Known as "The Cooking Realtor," Ruby cooks up a large batch of her secret-recipe tomato sauce with family and friends once a year.
Sauce-making is an annual tradition for hundreds of families of Italian heritage across the Hudson Valley in late summer, when plum tomatoes are at their best.
After jarring, Ruby says that most sauces stay good for about a year.
