Hudson Valley communities are bracing for more snow while many are still recovering from last week’s nor’easter.
Plowing may be difficult in spots like Sloatsburg, since the snowbanks are still so high. Sloatsburg Mayor Carl Wright says the area could see up to 5 more inches by Tuesday afternoon.
“People have to understand that your road may not be as wide as it should be, but it will certainly be cleared,” says Wright.
The Rockland County Highway Department was gearing up Monday to be ready ahead of the snow, saying crews would be on standby Monday evening and that it was making last-minute fixes to its fleet of plows.
