Armonk H.S. coach accused of taping girls' locker room
A Byram Hills High School baseball coach is accused of videotaping players with illegal surveillance equipment.
Police arrested 34-year-old Quentin Lindsey Thursday and charged him with unlawful surveillance after video cameras were allegedly found in the girls? locker room. Lindsey has worked at the high school since 2003 as the varsity baseball coach and physical education teacher. There were no negative incidents on his record prior to this arrest.
Lindsey?s neighbors were stunned by the news.
?I simply do not believe that,? said neighbor Karen Schram. ?He has been my neighbor for a couple of years now, and I trust my children with him.?
Armonk Superintendent John Chambers sent an e-mail to parents following the arrest saying the district was fully cooperating with the investigation, but they would not leap to any conclusions regarding Lindsey?s guilt. Lindsey has been suspended from his positions at the high school.
Lindsey was released on bail and is due back in court later this month. He could not be reached for comment.
