Yorktown garbage hauler has been fined $59,500 over uncollected garbage in the town.
Supervisor Tom Diana has vowed that the fines will continue if Competitive Carting Corporation doesn't comply with its contract.
The town says the company's failure to collect after July 4 was the second major garbage disruption since they began serving Yorktown in January.
Yorktown officials say residents whose garbage wasn't collected should call Competitive Catering. If they don’t respond- residents can contact the Town's Refuse & Recycling Department.
