The Yorktown for Justice Organization held its third annual Pride March on Saturday.
Participants gathered at Town Hall and marched in a loop before winding up at Railroad Park for a Pride Festival.
Organizers said Saturday’s event was as important as ever this year.

"This has been a particularly hard year for LGBTQ people and a really regressive time for LGBTQ rights. There are hundreds of bills that have been brought before state legislatures and passed that are targeting LGBTQ people, particularly trans children and teens," said organizer Marisa Ragonese. "And so were here today to celebrate love and acceptance, and social justice and to denounce hatred and intolerance."
The march was the official kickoff to a host of pride events throughout Westchester.
