A Yonkers woman is recovering in the hospital after she was pierced in the stomach with an arrow Sunday afternoon in the Bronx.
Denise Delgado-Brown, 52, was dropping two elderly women off at their assisted living complex in Riverdale when she was hit with the 30-inch arrow.
"I hope it's not someone on a building just shooting people randomly with arrows and bows," says Keisha Osbourne, a six-year employee at the assisted living facility.
Neighbors and others who work at the home say they?re shocked at the nature of the attack.
"It was kind of strange to use a bow and arrow living here in the Bronx,? Riverdale resident Francis Frier says. ?I figured it would be a gun."
Police say the arrow struck Delgado-Brown in a downward motion. They do not believe she was targeted. She is listed in stable condition after undergoing surgery at St. Barnabas Hospital.
