Shoppers stocked up on essential supplies Stew Leonard's in Yonkers in preparation for Tropical Storm Isaias.
Long lines and packed shopping carts showed that many residents in the Hudson Valley are taking the potential threat of strong winds and heavy rain seriously.
"This is the time that you should be out there trying, especially if there's gonna be a storm. You should be trying to get your stuff together," he says. "Nobody wants to go out, I don't want to go out."
Tony Spizzirro and his wife, of Larchmont, also say they aren't taking any chances of getting caught in the potential storm without essential supplies.
"We heard what the weather forecast is gonna be on Tuesday and we don't want to be caught with our pants down," he says.
