The city of Yonkers is showing its support for the family of slain baseball prospect Michael Nolan.
Green and gold ribbons can be found along Odell Avenue in the neighborhood where the 23-year-old Nolan grew up. The colors represent the Oakland A's, the professional baseball team that drafted the 6-foot-7-inch left-handed pitcher.
Nolan was shot twice, including once in the head, in a drive-by in a Burger King parking lot on Central Park Avenue in Yonkers Sept. 18. He died three weeks later.
No arrests have been made in the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing.
Nolan's parents say the decision to donate their son's organs has saved the lives of five people.
Nolan's funeral is tentatively set for Thursday at St. Paul's Church on McLean Avenue in Yonkers.
