Yonkers Salvation Army transforms gym into a clothing boutique
A local organization transformed its gymnasium into a makeshift boutique with clothes for those in need.
The Salvation Army in Yonkers opened its doors to anyone in need of a coat.
“It’s very good stuff. When I saw it, I was surprised,” says Neekenson Fils. “But it’s for the community, that’s the nice part about it. Everybody gets to have a coat.”
Patricia Victoriana picked up some items for her four children, too.
She tells News 12 things have been hard since her husband lost his job, and she’s grateful for the helping hand.
The coat drive was sponsored by The Children’s Place.
