The Salvation Army in Yonkers is calling on the community for help this holiday season.

Each year, it provides food and new toys for families in need. This year, the Salvation Army says it's concerned about whether or not it will be able to raise the funds.

Lt. Neekenson is asking the public to help by a fiscal donation through the red kettles or its office on Main Street, volunteering to help ring the red bells, texting SAY-HELP to 41444 for a quick donation or donating a new, unwrapped toy.
