A new place dedicated to people living with memory loss will be unveiled in Yonkers on Saturday.
The Yonkers Respite Sanctuary includes landscaping and a gazebo that was created to give a sense of peace to those living with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, along with their caregivers.
It will be the first of its kind in Westchester County. It is also the third in the nation next to Lindenhurst and East Meadow on Long Island.
The sanctuary will be celebrated at 1 p.m. along Dock Street.
