Racing resumes at Yonkers Raceway following a serious accident that injured multiple drivers.

The incident occurred during the eighth race on Friday night, resulting in drivers being thrown from their carts. However, all four injured drivers are expected to make a full recovery. Notably, none of the horses involved sustained injuries.

Officials at Yonkers Raceway reported that one horse tripped, leading to a chain-reaction collision among trailing horses, causing the drivers' injuries.

The accident halted racing for the evening and suspended events over the weekend.

Racing authorities assured that safety measures are in place for both drivers and horses. Investigations are ongoing, marking the first accident at the raceway in five years.
