Yonkers police say a repeat sex offender is back behind bars after recently getting out of jail and committing sex attacks in the city.
Ahkim Blount, 36, was first sentenced to prison for assaulting an 8-year-old girl in 2006. He was released a few months ago and began committing more attacks, according to police.
They say the first attack since his release occurred near 106 Belmont Ave. in September. Records allege that he raped a woman and obstructed her breathing.
Yonkers Police Commissioner Charles Gardner says the next incident occurred on Sept. 13, when a 37-year-old woman parked on Bronx River Road was approached by a man with a handgun. The woman was able to escape, but Blout allegedly made off with her purse and cellphone.
Police say Blout took another woman's purse and cellphone on Sept. 23. They were able to track the phone, which led them to Blout.
