WHAT TO KNOW
- Sunny and breezy today
- Stray shower Monday afternoon
- Wet and cold Thursday/Friday
- First snowflakes of the season in spots late Friday
It's a beautiful finish to the weekend with more sun than clouds and temperatures near 60-degrees this afternoon. It is breezy with winds occasionally gusting more than 20 mph from the northwest. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for all boaters today.
A stray shower is possible on Monday, otherwise it's dry and pleasant, through Tuesday. Wednesday will be less windy, but prepare for an otherwise breezy week.
LATE WEEK STORM
A large storm system will bring showers on Thursday and Friday, perhaps lingering into Saturday. This is expected to be a rain event, but chilly weather will move in behind the storm with highs in the 40s for next weekend. It could be cold enough for a few snowflakes to mix in with rain showers late Friday or early Saturday. At this time, that risk is very low for Westchester, but it's not unheard of in November so we will keep an eye on any changes. To the north and west, snow will likely mix in, but it's too early to determine if there will be any accumulation. Enough sow to cause travel issues is not expected.
Beyond the end of the week, it looks like temperatures will rebound quickly and dry weather is the general rule of thumb for the remainder of the month.
