Police officers have long been the butt of “doughnut” jokes, but a Yonkers police officer is in hot water for “doing doughnuts” in a squad car.

Video of an officer taking his cruiser for a joyride has gone viral on social media.

The video, posted to Twitter, has upset a lot of people -- with one person writing "I wonder what investigation this was? #TaxpayersMoney.”

Yonkers police officials have responded saying, “The department is aware of the video and has identified the officer - the incident is being investigated as an internal personnel matter.”
