After a very warm, summer-like day Friday, that fall feel will sneak back in here for the weekend. A cold front has moved through, knocking out the humidity and cooling down temperatures heading into Saturday morning. Wake-up temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s. The sun will return in the afternoon. Temperatures will climb to a comfortable 70 degrees.

Rain may return on Sunday. A wave of low pressure will develop and move along the cold front that comes through tonight. There is some uncertainty with the placement and how far north the rain will go.

Be prepared for a cloudy sky with some on-and-off showers Sunday afternoon. Temperatures will be a lot cooler, with highs only in the 60s. It gets even colder early next week. Jackets and sweaters will be needed for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Cooler neighborhoods in Orange, Putnam, Ulster, and Dutchess counties will likely drop into the 30s and could see their first frost of the season Tuesday and Wednesday morning. If you have sensitive seasonal plants for autumn, or a patio plant you'd like to save, make sure to protect them or bring them inside on Monday.
