A Yonkers man visited the Yonkers Fire Department Thursday to thank the firefighters who saved his life a year ago.
Mario Sindona, 43, was working at the Yonkers Water Department last year when he suffered a heart attack. Firefighters were called in and used a defibrillator to revive Sindona. Before they arrived, one of Sindona's co-workers administered CPR on him.
Sindona, a father of five, says he is grateful and appreciative of what the firefighters did to help him.
