A 34-year-old Yonkers man was sentenced to 22 years in state prison for a fatal 2020 shooting, according to the Westchester District Attorney's Office.
Jonathan Planas pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter.
The victim, 20-year-old Alvaro Vigueras Medina, was shot as he walked on Lawrence Street after exiting a car.
He ran to a nearby building, collapsed and was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The men apparently did not know each other, and the motive was not revealed.
Planas eluded authorities until he was arrested a year later.
