(11/12/06) YONKERS - A Yonkers man tried to teach a lesson to bullies when he allegedly shot a man in the buttocks for teasing him.
According to police, 44-year-old Robert Harris claims he was taunted by the victim for being beaten up earlier that night. Police say at about 2 a.m. Harris fetched a gun from his home and returned to Morningside Avenue. After an exchange of words, Harris allegedly shot the man in his behind. Harris then ran to a Ridge Avenue apartment building where police later caught up with him.
Harris is charged with assault and weapons possession. Both he and the victim were treated and released from a local hospital.
