A two-car crash on a slick Yonkers road claimed the life of an elderly man Friday.

According to police, Mohd Shrakin, of Indiana, was driving a Dodge on Sprain Road when he rounded a curve and crossed into the left lane around 3:45 p.m. Police say the vehicle hit a Buick, with Anthony Viero and Viero's caretaker Marlene Rodman, both of Yonkers, head-on. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but Viero died at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville.

Shrakin and Rodman were taken to Westchester Medical Center and are listed in serious condition. Police say the rain-slicked roads and speed may have contributed to the crash.
