There are two new fire trucks hitting the streets of Yonkers.
The Yonkers Fire chaplain blessed the two new trucks at a press conference at Station 11 on Tuesday.
The city shelled out $2.2 million to purchase the trucks. They will be replacing aging trucks in the department’s fleet.
News 12 was told these trucks were specially customized to be able to maneuver the city's hilly terrain.
The new trucks will be assigned to Ladder 70 on Central Park Avenue and Squad 11 at Station 11 on Bronxville Road.
