A Yonkers family has found their beloved bird that went missing Sunday.
The Delfino family says their 8-year-old blue and gold macaw named Oscar got out of the family's garage Saturday.
They say Oscar left his home on Turner Street and was then spotted in a tree at nearby Bregano Park.
Diana Delfino says Oscar stayed perched in the tree for 12 hours. She says the family tried coaxing him down with nuts, toys and calling his name to no avail.
Oscar was captured Monday afternoon a quarter-mile away from his house on Kimball Avenue when two plumbers working on a house spotted the tropical bird underneath a patio table.
