Police in Yonkers busted two men they believe tried to rob a Salvation Army building.
According to police, an alarm went off at the building at New Main Street around 11:30 p.m. Monday. Police say two men were spotted jumping from the roof onto the stores below. Police immediately closed off a section of Getty Square and searched for the suspects by foot and by helicopter.
Police say one suspect was found around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in an alley near the building and another suspect was discovered in a crawl space above a bank about five hours later. There is no word on what, if anything, was taken from the Salvation Army.
