A woman says she was struck while riding her bicycle in Yonkers.
Allison Lee says she was riding her bicycle from work at Ridge Hill along Tuckahoe Road last Sunday when a car rammed into her and fled the scene.
"I was just crawling," she said. "I could not stand up, but I was crawling to my basket to get my phone and I remember thinking I need to get to my phone and call someone."
Lee says she has been using the same route to get home on her bike for about a year, and that she has three very distinct bright lights on the front and back of her bike to help commuters see her.
She thinks the runaway driver may have been texting behind the wheel and hopes they come forward.
Lee says while she did not suffer any broken bones, she feels lucky to be alive.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call 914-377-7305.
