Some Yankee fans in the Bronx are furious after the team unveiled its new pricing plan for next year when it moves to the new stadium.
Although there are going to be nine sections of bleacher seats priced at $12 each, seats behind the right and left outfield fence are expected to cost $100 and $75, respectively.
In March, the Yankees announced that the best seats in the new stadium, near home plate, will cost $2,500.
Ticket charges at the new Yankees Stadium, which is expected to open in 2009, have drawn fierce criticism from both elected officials and residents in the surrounding community.
The funding for the $1.3 billion stadium was predominantly drawn from state subsidies footed by taxpayers, who say they will not even be able to afford to enter the new stadium.
