An attempted robbery in Orange County is under investigation this morning after police say a store clerk chased down a suspect.

City of Middletown police say the incident occurred at a convenience store on Wickham Avenue on Wednesday night.

According to police, the female clerk chased the suspect out the door and caught the man down the street.

There was a struggle and a witness called police.

When officers arrived, they found the suspect on the ground suffering some kind of medical emergency.

He was rushed to a hospital in serious condition
