Woodbury Police Chief Richard Vasquez has resigned.
News 12's Blaise Gomez reports that Vasquez officially stepped down from the position last week. Sources tell Gomez that he has received a "six-figure deal" and has agreed not to sue the town.
Vasquez issued a statement saying that he was delighted to serve the town of Woodbury and appreciates all the support he received.
He was suspended in October for allegedly ignoring his duties while running for Rockland sheriff.
