Yonkers police say they found a woman tied up and beaten with tape around her mouth after receiving a 911 call.
Police say the 50-year-old victim was discovered in her Franklin Avenue apartment just after 3 p.m. The woman was taken to the hospital with injuries to her face.
Police tell News 12 that contrary to prior reports, the woman was not taken from the apartment. Investigators add that the apartment was so ransacked that they aren't sure yet what, if anything, was taken. It is not known yet the motive for the break-in, but it appears the house, and not the woman, was targeted by the group.
Police are looking for four men. They are hoping more people will come forward with information.
