Another woman suspected of allegedly helping cover up the murder of well-known political activist Peggy Nadell was arraigned this morning.

Eltia Grant, of California, glanced briefly at the family and friends of murder victim Peggy Nadell as she entered the Clarkstown Justice Court today.

According to investigators, Nadell's daughter-in-law, 50-year-old Diana Nadell, hatched the plan to kill her mother-in-law in order to get a hold of her money.

Investigators say in January, Diana Nadell, who lives in Florida, and another woman, Andrea Benson, of Washington, D.C., beat and stabbed the political activist to death in her home.

They say Diana Nadell also recruited Grant, 24, and Tanisha Joyner, 26, of Washington, D,C. to help cover up the crime by providing an alibi. Joyner was extradited to Rockland County and was arraigned in Clarkstown Court late Tuesday night.

Both Joyner and Grant are charged with second-degree conspiracy to commit murder. They are both being held on $500,000 bail

Diana Nadell and Andrea Bensen are accused of second-degree murder.
