A New Rochelle man dependent on oxygen has been forced to spend much of his day inside a car because he is still without power.
Tropical Storm Isaias knocked out power to thousands in the area, including at the New Rochelle co-op on Calton Road.
The wife of the man who is on oxygen would not go on camera, but told News 12 her husband has to go out to the car twice a day where he spends three hours each time to recharge his batteries to his machine, which lasts for nine hours.
Con Ed says a crew has been dispatched and that they're in daily contact with customers on emergency equipment for their safety.
The utility arrived Friday with bucket trucks to work on the damage caused by a large tree that took down power lines. The downed trees have been removed, clearing the way for crews to start work on restoring power, which a source tells News 12 may not be until Sunday.
