Winter in May? New low temp recorded at Westchester Airport

The Hudson Valley is in for some weather whiplash this week after waking up to record-low temperatures. A new low of 32 degrees was recorded at Westchester County Airport, breaking the previous record of 33 degrees set in 1977.
Normal lows for this time of year are around 47 degrees.
The rest of the day will be windy with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will top out around 48 degrees. The wind will be NW at 15-30 mph, gusting to 45 mph. There's a chance for some stray flurries this afternoon.
It will be very cold again overnight, with lows in the 30s. A freeze warning was issued for parts of Westchester and the Hudson Valley.
It's a bit better for Mother's Day on Sunday, which will see lots of sunshine and highs around 60 degrees, but it remains breezy.
