It's been a cold winter -- especially so for some Yonkers families who say their apartments haven't had heat.
Most of them are senior citizens at 334 Riverdale Ave., which is part of the city's Municipal Housing Authority.
Tenants say they use space heaters, double up on blankets and even leave the oven door open at night.
"It's terrible," says Evelyn Gousby. "I can't do this no more."
In her apartment, she uses two space heaters.
"That's the only way it's going to be warm in here," she says.
The building's executive director says the heating system is faulty -- while it's supposedly traveling through the 139-unit building, it's not being delivered to every apartment.
Authorities say repair work failed to remedy the issue, and replacement components won't arrive for six to eight weeks.
