ALERT: A winter storm watch is in effect from Sunday morning through Monday evening due to potential for heavy snow.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
After a mild day for a change, the cold is not far behind and set to return, but the bigger story a major winter storm is rolling in this weekend.
There’s a high chance that there will be at least 6 inches of snow, and the odds are actually increasing that some areas could get buried under more than 12 inches. The heaviest snow is set for Sunday and Sunday night, and while it'll mostly be that dry, powdery stuff, parts of the southern tri-state might see a wetter, slushier mix.
Either way, it’s going to be a mess for travel and daily errands through Monday, so you might want to get your grocery run done sooner rather than later. Stay with News 12 for the latest updates.
