A boil water advisory is affecting several families in the Town of Windsor today.
Homes along on Buttonwood Drive are being impacted.
Officials from the Water and Sewer Department told News 12 that crews shut down the main line to repair a leak leading into one of the homes.
The repair has been made, but now they say it is standard protocol for water to be tested twice for harmful bacteria.
They estimate the advisory will end tomorrow afternoon after the second test is taken.
Residents will get a text alert when it's been lifted.
