Gusty winds caused power outages and road restrictions across the Hudson Valley.
Police say that strong winds caused a utility pole to go down on Route 172 in Bedford. Crews were on the scene working to repair the damage since early Monday morning. Officials reminded people to use caution on the roads and remember to never touch downed power lines.
The heavy winds have also spurred the MTA to announced that all empty tractor-trailers and tandem trailers were prohibited on MTA bridges from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday.
