WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
A wind advisory is in effect for Southern Westchester County until 4 a.m. Friday.
The blustery conditions that produced wind gusts over 40 mph will subside.
The Hudson Valley will experience lingering cold on Friday, followed by a quieter, cold Saturday.
Attention then turns to a system moving in Saturday night. It carries the potential for a brief period of snow Sunday morning before it exits.
The return of gusty winds in the system's wake will ensure a chilly, brisk start to the week on Monday.
