The remnants of Hurricane Willa could bring flash floods to some parts of Texas and eventually heavy rain to the Hudson Valley.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center says the system has weakened to a tropical storm, but torrential rains will continue in west-central Mexico.
Central and eastern Texas were drenched earlier this month with historic downpours and Willa's waters may aggravate saturated areas and swollen rivers.
News 12 meteorologists say the storm is expected to turn into a nor’easter by the time it gets to the Hudson Valley this weekend. Rain is expected to start around midnight on Friday and continue through Sunday with heavy downpours and gusty winds up to 30 mph.
