Advocates with "Make the Road New York" rallied immigrants on key issues at a packed town hall in White Plains Wednesday, ahead of the 2020 legislative session.
Passing laws to protect undocumented tenants by requiring good cause for evictions, and fully removing immigration officers from courthouses are among the priorities in next year's session.
2019 was a breakthrough year in Albany for immigrant rights, with the passage of the Green Light Law. The law that will take effect in Dec. 14 allows undocumented immigrants to receive drivers' licenses.
