A White Plains teacher has been arrested following allegations involving a teenage student in Westchester County.
The Westchester District Attorney’s Office says a 27-year-old teacher had an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old student at the German International School earlier this year.
Authorities say the allegations include giving the student alcohol and touching her inappropriately.
Nils Koehler pleaded not guilty to one count of endangering the welfare of a child and is scheduled to return to court in May.
In a statement to News 12, the school said, in part: “Effective April 28, 2026, Mr. Koehler has been placed on administrative leave, and all access to the school campus and school-related systems has been revoked. The school is fully cooperating with law enforcement authorities.”
The school has taken immediate steps to ensure continuity of instruction and support for students and the community. The safety and well‑being of students remain GISNY’s highest priority.
