Democratic State Assemblyman Adam Bradley (White Plains) threw his hat into the mayor?s race in that city Monday in front of a crowd of supporters.
Bradley's announcement comes just three days after longtime White Plains Mayor Joe Delfino declared he would not seek re-election in the fall. The four-term assemblyman grew up in White Plains and lives there with his wife and two daughters.
Bradley says, while Delfino should be given credit for White Plains' vibrant downtown, he believes other parts of the city have suffered. He says his main goal issue is getting the city's financial house in order.
Delfino is the only elected Republican in City Hall. Republicans have not yet picked a candidate to run against Bradley.
