Ingredients
¼ cup Paulner Beer
1 tbs Spicy Brown Deli Mustard
¼ cup Heavy Cream
½ cup Shredded Cheddar
2tbs. French’s Crispy Fried Onions
¼ cup Sauerkraut
1 ea. Pretzel Roll
2 ea. Bratwurst
Instructions
1. Start by preparing the cheese sauce by placing the beer in a sauté pan on high heat until it starts to simmer.
2. Once the beer is at a simmer reduce the heat to medium, add mustard and cream and whisk until blended.
3. Bring the cream mixture to a simmer, add the cheese making sure to whisk constantly until all the cheese is fully melted and the mixture resembles a cheese sauce, and set aside.
4. Place the bratwurst on a grill pan and cook fully.
5. Slice the bratwurst half lengthwise and place back on the grill cut side down and grill until grill marks are achieved.
6. Cut and open the pretzel roll making sure not to cut all the way through.
7. Place 2 tbs. of cheese sauce on the bottom of the roll.
8. Place all four pieces of bratwurst on top of the cheese sauce.
9. Place another 2 tbs. of cheese sauce on top of the bratwurst.
10. Place the sauerkraut on top of the bratwurst.
11. Place the fried onions on top of the sauerkraut.
