Kirby Brown, the 38-year-old Orange County woman who was killed on a spiritual retreat in Arizona, was laid to rest Saturday as mourners packed into the Holy Name of Jesus Church in Otisville to give Brown a final farewell.

Kirby graduated from Minisink High School and was described by friends as an artistic, free spirit who would do anything for the people she cared about.

Police have ruled Brown's death a homicide. Investigators say the self-help guru who organized the retreat, James Arthur Ray, is now a focus in their investigation.
