Westchester's Winter Wonderland drive-thru holiday light show kicks off

The magic of the holiday season is just getting started, with Westchester County opening its Winter Wonderland Holiday Light Extravaganza to the public.
Jorden Hutchins, 9, of Mount Vernon, handled the ceremonial lighting of the tree for the official opening at Kensico Dam Plaza.
He survived a life-threatening case of COVID-19 after being treated at the hospital in May. For him, the celebration of another Christmas is the biggest gift he could receive.
Hundreds of cars lined up to take in the sights and sounds of Christmas. Officials say while the drive-thru model is different, it's necessary to keep people safe.
News 12 is a sponsor of the Winter Wonderland Holiday Light Extravaganza. The celebration will be held through Jan. 3.
It costs $25 a car.
