Westchester County has increased security measures following a terror attack that killed eight people in New York City, according to Executive Rob Astorino.
He pledged a greater police presence in major areas.
"We're constantly conducting drills and exercises, to improve our capability if and when a real-world incident occurs," he said Wednesday.
In White Plains, for sanitation trucks blocked off the street around the farmer's market around Court Street.
Shoppers said the trucks made them feel safer.
